This Privacy Policy explains how Focusage ("the app", "we", "us") handles your information. Focusage is developed and operated by Rishikesh Prince, an independent developer publishing under the name Focusfuse. By using the app you agree to the practices described below.
The short version: Focusage works fully offline and keeps your data on your device by default. Signing in is optional and only used to back up and sync your data. We don't show ads, and we never sell your personal information.
1. Information we collect
We collect only what's needed to run the app and the features you choose to use.
a) Account information (only if you sign in)
Signing in is optional. If you create an account using Google or email:
- Google Sign-In: we receive your name, email address, and a unique account identifier from your Google profile.
- Email sign-up: we collect your email address and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text).
b) App content you create
- Pomodoro / focus session history
- Tasks, habits and their progress
- Tags, preferences and app settings (theme, timer durations, etc.)
This content is stored on your device. If you are signed in, a copy may also be stored in your account so it can be backed up and synced across your devices.
c) Technical information
We do not use third-party advertising networks and the app does not request your advertising identifier. Limited technical data (such as basic error logs) may be processed to keep the app working reliably. The app may request permissions you control — for example notifications — which you can manage in your device settings.
d) Subscription & purchase data
If you buy Focusage Premium, the purchase is handled by the app store (Google Play) and by RevenueCat, our subscription-management provider. We receive your subscription status, the plan you bought, and purchase/transaction identifiers — but never your full card or bank details, which stay with the app store. To keep premium status in sync across your devices, we link the purchase to your Focusage account identifier.
2. How we use information
- To provide the app's core features (timer, tasks, habits, statistics)
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure
- To back up and synchronize your data across your devices (when signed in)
- To send local reminders and notifications you enable
- To diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and improve reliability
- To process your subscription and unlock premium features
- To respond to your support requests
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising or profiling.
3. Google user data
When you choose to sign in with Google, Focusage requests only your basic profile information — your name, email address and profile identifier — solely to create and secure your Focusage account. We do not request access to your Google Drive, contacts, or any other Google service.
Focusage's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google user data only to provide and improve the app's sign-in and sync features, never for advertising, and we do not sell it or transfer it to others except as needed to operate the service or where required by law.
4. Storage & security
- On your device: your data is stored locally so the app works offline.
- In the cloud (if signed in): account data is stored using Supabase, our backend and database provider, on secured infrastructure.
- Access controls: cloud data is protected by row-level security so that each account can access only its own data.
- In transit: data exchanged with our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.
No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
5. How we share data
We share data only with the service providers needed to run the app:
- Supabase — authentication, database and hosting.
- Google — Google Sign-In, and app distribution through Google Play.
- RevenueCat — subscription management and purchase validation.
- Google Play Billing — processes subscription payments.
Focusage offers an optional Focusage Premium subscription. Payments are processed by Google Play and managed via RevenueCat; we do not receive or store your full payment card details. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users and the service. We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
6. Data retention & deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the app. You are always in control:
- Local data: uninstalling the app removes data stored on your device.
- Account data: you can request deletion of your account and associated cloud data at any time by emailing support@focusfuse.co.in. We will delete it within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to comply with the law.
7. Children's privacy
Focusage is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us and we will remove it.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the app. Continued use of Focusage after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
