This page explains how to delete your Coinseed account and the data associated with it. Coinseed is developed and operated by Rishikesh Prince, an independent developer publishing under the name Focusfuse. Signing in to Coinseed is optional — if you have never created an account, there is no online account to delete, and simply uninstalling the app removes the data stored on your device.
In short: You can delete your account and all of its cloud data in two ways — directly inside the app, or by emailing us. Once deleted, your account and synced data are removed permanently and cannot be recovered.
1. How to delete your account
Choose whichever option is easier for you. Both permanently delete the same data.
Option A — Delete it inside the app (instant)
- Open Coinseed and go to the Settings tab.
- In the Account section, tap Delete account.
- Read the warning and confirm to permanently delete your account.
Your account and all data synced to the cloud are deleted immediately, and you are signed out on the device.
Option B — Request deletion by email
- Send an email to support@focusfuse.co.in from the email address associated with your Coinseed account.
- Use the subject line "Delete my Coinseed account".
- We may ask you to confirm ownership of the account before we delete it, to protect you from someone else requesting deletion.
We will action verified email requests within 30 days (typically much sooner).
2. What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove everything stored in your account in the cloud:
- Your account and sign-in details — for email sign-in your email address and credentials; for Google sign-in your name, email address and account identifier.
- Your transactions (expenses, income and transfers).
- Your accounts, account types and balances.
- Your budgets, credit cards and card payments.
- Your loans, bills and investment records.
- Your categories, chosen currency, profile and settings.
3. What we keep & for how long
We delete your personal data as described above. A few limited records may be retained:
- Backups. Residual copies of your data in routine, encrypted backups are purged within 90 days of deletion.
- Records required by law. We may retain limited information where we are legally required to do so, or to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
Retained records are kept no longer than necessary for the purpose above, after which they are deleted or anonymised.
4. Data stored only on your device
Coinseed works fully offline, and every device also keeps its own local copy of your data. Deleting your account removes the cloud-synced data; the local copy on each device is removed when you uninstall the app there (or clear the app's storage in your device settings).
