This Privacy Policy explains how Coinseed ("the app", "we", "us") handles your information. Coinseed is a personal-finance app developed and operated by Rishikesh Prince, an independent developer publishing under the name Focusfuse. The app is currently in private internal testing on Android. By using the app you agree to the practices described below.
The short version: Coinseed works fully offline and keeps your financial data on your device by default. Signing in is optional and only used to back up and sync your data across your devices. We don't show ads, and we never sell your personal or financial information.
1. Information we collect
We collect only what's needed to run the app and the features you choose to use.
a) Account information (only if you sign in)
Signing in is optional. Coinseed offers email & password sign-in and Google Sign-In. If you create an account:
- Email & password: we receive your email address and a securely hashed password, plus a unique account identifier.
- Google Sign-In: we receive your name, email address and a unique account identifier from your Google profile.
b) Financial data you create
Coinseed stores the money-management data you enter, which may include:
- Transactions (expenses, income and transfers) with amounts, categories, dates and notes
- Accounts and account types, with their balances
- Budgets and their spending
- Credit cards (limits, balances, due dates and payments)
- Loans you've given or owe, and bills with their due dates and reminders
- Investment accounts and their performance history
- Your categories, chosen currency, preferences and app settings
This data is stored on your device. If you are signed in, a copy may also be stored in your account so it can be backed up and synced across your devices. Coinseed does not connect to your bank; every entry is one you add yourself.
c) Technical information
We do not use third-party advertising networks and the app does not request your advertising identifier. Limited technical data (such as basic error logs) may be processed to keep the app working reliably. The app may request permissions you control — for example notifications for bill reminders — which you can manage in your device settings.
2. How we use information
- To provide the app's core features (transactions, accounts, budgets, cards, loans, bills, investments and statistics)
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure
- To back up and synchronize your data across your devices (when signed in)
- To send local reminders and notifications you enable (such as bill reminders)
- To diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and improve reliability
- To respond to your support requests
We do not sell your personal or financial information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising or profiling.
3. Google user data
When you choose to sign in with Google, Coinseed requests only your basic profile information — your name, email address and profile identifier — solely to create and secure your Coinseed account. We do not request access to your Google Drive, contacts, or any other Google service.
Coinseed's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google user data only to provide the app's sign-in and sync features, never for advertising, and we do not sell it or transfer it to others except as needed to operate the service or where required by law.
4. Storage & security
- On your device: your data is stored locally so the app works offline.
- In the cloud (if signed in): account data is stored using Supabase, our backend and database provider, on secured infrastructure.
- Access controls: cloud data is protected by row-level security so that each account can access only its own data.
- In transit: data exchanged with our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.
No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
5. How we share data
We share data only with the service providers needed to run the app:
- Supabase — authentication, database and hosting.
- Google — Google Sign-In, and Android app distribution through Google Play.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users and the service. We do not sell your personal or financial data to anyone.
6. Data retention & deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the app. You are always in control:
- Local data: uninstalling the app removes data stored on your device.
- Delete in the app (instant): Settings → Account → Delete account permanently deletes your account and all cloud-synced data immediately.
- Delete by request: you can also email support@focusfuse.co.in and we will delete your account within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited records to comply with the law. Full details are on our account deletion page.
7. Children's privacy
Coinseed is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us and we will remove it.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the app. Continued use of Coinseed after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
