This page explains how to delete your Hushroom (formerly Focusage) account and the data associated with it. Accounts created under the Focusage name are the same accounts — everything below applies to them equally. Hushroom is developed and operated by Rishikesh Prince, an independent developer publishing under the name Focusfuse. Signing in to Hushroom is optional — if you have never created an account, there is no online account to delete, and simply uninstalling the app removes the data stored on your device.
In short: You can delete your account and all of its cloud data in two ways — directly inside the app, or by emailing us. Once deleted, your account and synced data are removed permanently and cannot be recovered.
1. How to delete your account
Choose whichever option is easier for you. Both permanently delete the same data.
Option A — Delete it inside the app (instant)
- Open Hushroom and go to the Settings tab.
- In the Account section, tap Delete account.
- Read the warning and tap Delete to confirm.
Your account and all data synced to the cloud are deleted immediately, and you are signed out on the device.
Option B — Request deletion by email
- Send an email to support@focusfuse.co.in from the email address associated with your Hushroom account.
- Use the subject line "Delete my Hushroom account".
- We may ask you to confirm ownership of the account before we delete it, to protect you from someone else requesting deletion.
We will action verified email requests within 30 days (typically much sooner).
2. What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove everything stored in your account in the cloud:
- Your account and sign-in details — for Google or GitHub sign-in this is your name (or username), email address and account identifier.
- Your habits and their completion history.
- Your to-dos, goals (with milestones and progress) and notes.
- Your Pomodoro / focus session history, tags and weekly focus goals.
- Your synced profile and settings (such as your display name and preferences).
- Your leaderboard entry — board id, leaderboard display name and all points history. You disappear from the public rankings.
Cloud backup & sync of your content is part of Hushroom Ignite. If you never used it, the cloud may hold only your account record and (if you joined) your leaderboard entry — both are deleted along with the account.
3. What we keep & for how long
We delete your personal data as described above. A few limited records may be retained:
- Subscription & purchase records. Hushroom Ignite is purchased on Android via Google Play, with subscriptions managed by our provider RevenueCat. Transaction records held by those providers may be retained where required for legal, tax, accounting or fraud-prevention purposes. To cancel an active subscription, use Google Play → Subscriptions on your Android device (or play.google.com) — Windows and web users manage the subscription on the Android device they subscribed with.
- Backups. Residual copies of your data in routine, encrypted backups are purged within 90 days of deletion.
- Records required by law. We may retain limited information where we are legally required to do so, or to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
Retained records are kept no longer than necessary for the purpose above, after which they are deleted or anonymised.
4. Data stored only on your device
Hushroom works fully offline, and every device also keeps its own local copy of your data. A few things are kept only on the device — such as your daily reflections and some device-specific preferences — and are never uploaded to our cloud, so they are not affected by deleting your account. Deleting your account removes the cloud-synced data; the local copies on each device are removed when you uninstall the app there (or clear the app's storage in your device settings).
